If you have a female business builder in your life, this gift guide for her offers THE best gift ideas to help her move her business to the next level.
It’s hard for women to invest in themselves, let alone their businesses! Women often put everyone else before themselves. The kids, the significant other, the house, even the pets often all come before the woman. And if that same woman is also building a business, it’s likely she’s wearing even more hats and has less time to wear them all.
Starting a business often means a bootstrap situation. There’s little money, little assistance and little guidance when it comes to starting a business by yourself. So the idea of investing in that business before you make a profit can often be unthinkable for the woman first starting out. But it’s the investments in ourselves and in our businesses that allow us to grow faster. When you have a coach, course, mentor or masterclass behind you, it helps advance to the next level. Even if the current level is zero or negative 10.
Below are the coaches, courses and business owners who helped me to build my business in a variety of ways. Each business below was a building block in moving my business forward. Each was an investment that took me to the next level, even if that next level was the tiniest of steps.
If you have a business builder in your life, consider this gift guide for her. It will likely be her favorite gift and one that not only was a gift but an investment in her and her business.
These are the best gift ideas for the business builder.

Suzy Holman is a mom and businesswoman who dresses in orange and pink, drinks McDonald’s diet cokes, and creates actual magic for her clients. Suzy hosts in-person, business retreats for women who are ready to move their successful businesses to the next level. I had the honor of attending her beta version of a virtual retreat in January 2021. I began the month-long virtual course without a business idea. I completed the course with a business idea and a community of women who were doing the same thing. It was actual magic.
Suzy has now created several recorded courses at a more affordable price so even more people can invest in their business, making this one of the best gifts for her. There is a Freshman Class and a Sophomore Class available for Suzy School for the woman who hasn’t started yet to the woman who has started but is feeling stuck on where to go next. Suzy School is only offered at limited times of year and her Freshman and Sophomore Course sales end Nov. 4. So if you missed the course sale, get on the waitlist for the next in-person retreat. 5. Laidback Achievers by Emily Stevens
Emily Stevens is not only a licensed therapist and life coach, she is also a former radio DJ. Emily hosts the Laidback Achievers podcast, which I was guest on earlier this year (have a listen here!), and has also created a community and group coaching program called Laidback Achievers. This is one of the best gift ideas and also the most affordable. The Laidback Achievers membership program is just $7 per month for Tier 1 or $47 per month for Tier 2.

The community of women in this group, along with Emily, offer excellent accountability, education and camaraderie, making it one of the best gift ideas for your business builder.

6. Hey, Thank Me Later Brand Design by Allison Colledge
Basically my entire business started with Allison. So, hey, I’m thanking her later! I hired Allison to create a logo for me before I had a business. I had a blog (not a business) and decided I needed a logo. Allison had attended an in-person Suzy School retreat and was featured on Suzy’s Instagram. I started to follow her and her graphic design business journey, and decided she was the perfect person to create my blog logo and branding colors. But when Allison said to me, “tell me about your business,” it launched me into a tailspin of figuring out what my business actually was.
At the time I had a blog, no business. I described my vision to Allison as best I could and she crafted the most beautiful logo for me and was a doll to work with! But little did she (or I) know at the time, that she also made me realize, I needed a business to go with my cool new logo. I definitely did things backwards. I went from logo to virtual Suzy School to Dream Method certification. I would not recommended building a business in that order, but hey whatever works for you! A graphic/brand design session with Allison to create a logo, branding colors, worksheets, business cards, whatever you may need, would be one of the best gift ideas for the business builder in your life. For the new business builder I would recommend Allison’s Speed Date Basic Branding Package. Reach out to hear more about Allison’s brand designs here.

7. Business Strategy by Lauren Tukuafu
Lauren is a business strategist and mompreneur who helps moms scale their businesses while also working less hours! Who wouldn’t want to work less but yet make more money?! Lauren’s coaching services are ideal for busy moms who are also business builders. She digs deep into your business and figures out how to best strategize your business needs. She helps you to nail down your niche, grow and scale your business, all while caring for a baby and a toddler herself!
I had the pleasure of having a business strategy session with Lauren and she was a wealth of business knowledge. But the most hilarious part of that strategy session was that she was holding her little baby on her lap during our call and the baby had a diaper blowout! Like major diaper blowout! Lauren explained the situation to me and told her I was happy to reschedule our call of course! But nope, Lauren kept going with our call and didn’t skip a beat. Even a diaper blowout doesn’t slow her down from helping women strategize their business! Find more details about Lauren’s coaching services here. She’s also offering a live masterclass on Nov. 30 to help you nail down your niche and it’s only $37. But even better, use coupon code YAY to take 50 percent off that price so it’s only $18.50!

8. Social Media Growth by Hannah Romero
I dubbed Hannah, Hannah Hashtag Girl, as she is a wealth of knowledge on Instagram growth and strategy. Hannah is another Suzy School attendant that I followed and soon purchased her Hashtag Strategy live class, which I believe may have been Hannah’s first. Now, she offers several Instagram Growth classes, audits, and courses. Instagram is definitely the place for the business builder to market herself and Hannah helps to gain that much needed exposure. Find more details about how Hannah can help grow your Instagram here and check out her Business Gram Black Friday course sale here.

9. WP.Help for Word Press
The team at WP.help has been a constant lifesaver for my website. I hired them years ago when I first launched my blog after I had spent several weeks trying to figure out how to upload my theme into WordPress and was continuing to fail. I’m a writer, not a tech person and I was spending an obscene amount of time on the tech side of building a business and I had no business being on that side of things. So I found WP.help and never looked back.
Every business needs a website and WordPress (in my opinion) is the best platform to do that on. But if you aren’t familiar with tech things and just want to fill your site with content, then hiring WP.help makes for THE best gift idea. Pay a monthly fee ($160) and email them with whatever WordPress problem you may have and they fix it within hours! WP.help was the time saver I was seeking, and I couldn’t be happier with their service over the past five plus years. Find more details about what WP.help can offer here and purchase here.
10. The Legal Formative by Kiersty Loughmiller
Kiersty is an attorney for creatives and entrepreneurs. That’s my kind of attorney! She’s amazing at contracts! Drafting them AND reading them. I hired her to review a few extensive business contracts for me because I had no idea what I was reading. She was quick and thorough in her response back to me. She also valued MY money by giving me an overview of what I needed to know and the option for her to dig deeper into it if I wanted her too. How amazing is that! Kiersty also can make your business legit by forming business entities, LLCs and getting your business legally compliant. Find more details about The Legal Formative here and learn what legal services Kiersty can provide you and your business.
