Some of the best gift ideas come from small businesses. This holiday season I wanted to include a few small businesses in my holiday gift guide in order to support them in their business and you in your gift buying search. Searching for the perfect gift isn’t easy. But comfort, coziness and cute are what I’m asking Santa for this Christmas season. From matching set sweatsuits to handcrafted charcuterie boards and handmade baby shoes, these are some of the best gift ideas for the 2021 holiday season.

1. Heated Vest from IUREK
This heated vest from IUREK instantly warms the body and soul. When I first saw this vest, I thought I wish I had somewhere to travel to and where that outside while hiking. I had that thought while I sat shivering on my couch in my chilly apartment. The shivers thankfully shook me into realization that I needed this vest for just lounging around my cold home! It’s been the best thing I’ve purchased all year!
The IUERK heated vest is lightweight but still warm, even without the heating element turned on. It’s waterproof, windproof and machine washable. There is a detachable battery pack that lives in a hidden zippered pocket on the inside of the vest. The rechargeable battery pack plugs into the attached cord inside the pocket and can be turned on by a decorative push button on the front collar of the vest. The LED light on the button indicates it is on. There are four carbon fiber heating elements in the vest that run across the collar, midback and the two front, zipper pockets to keep your hands warm. You can press the button for your desired level of heat; low at 100 degrees, medium 113 degrees or high at 131 degrees. The heating element in the collar easily keeps your head warm too when you utilize the detachable hood. The vest is black with red detailing and offers sizes for men and women.
If you’re traveling, hiking, enjoying outdoor dining in the cold, or just always chilly at home, this vest is the best gift idea for those looking for some heat this holiday season.
2. ABLE Sweatshirt and Sweatpants
I’m not a matching sets kind of person but I fell in love with the matching sweatshirt and sweatpants set from ABLE. It has quickly become my new favorite for lounging while still looking put together. I even more it on a travel day on a plane and I felt super comfortable while also looking nice. The Cynthia Front Zip Sweatshirt is a soft, French terrycloth with a thin rib trim and mock neck. It has a half zip in the front and comes in colors hummus or black. The matching Louisa Sweatpants are classic joggers with a tapered leg and slim fit. They have a drawstring waistband and large front pockets. These two pieces can easily be worn together or separately, making them an ideal holiday gift.

3. Z BY ZELLA HIGH WAIST LEGGINGS WITH POCKET
The Z by Zella High Waist Leggings with Pocket are a go-to legging. They check all the comfort boxes. The high waist fit is amazing, they tuck everything in nicely without cutting off circulation. There’s no muffin top with Z by Zella leggings. The large pocket on each leg that can easily fit a phone or a face mask is my favorite feature of these leggings. 4. Allbirds Tree Dashers
The Allbirds shoe brand is truly my favorite sneaker brand and is one of the best gift ideas for anyone looking to walk around in comfort. I can’t sing their praises more highly, unless I was indeed a bird. The Allbirds Tree Dashers quickly became the pair of sneakers I wear every day, whether traveling or at home. They are more of running shoe but work just as great for everyday wear. They offer excellent arch support inside with the cushiony Merino wool insole, and stability with the dual-density SweetFoam midsole, and on the outside the proprietary knit tree fiber fabric not only looks cool but it’s also great for the environment. The colors that are offered are often limited edition so be sure to snag the color you want quickly. For even more details on the Allbirds sneakers, check out my detailed review here.
5. Nomies Baby Shoes
If you have a baby or toddler in your life, Nomies are the best gift idea any time of year! These premium leather loafers, booties and even sneakers fit toddler and baby feet perfectly. They don’t slip off and they help little feet learn to walk too. Founded by Annie, a mom of three, Nomies was created at her kitchen table while she was pregnant with her middle child and her husband attended medical school. Annie cuts nearly every single piece of leather that goes into making a Nomie baby shoe. Nomies are handcrafted, sourced, sewn and shipped by women in the U.S. and they are so dang cute! They come in a wide variety of styles, colors and sizes. Find your Nomies here.

7. Homesick Candles
If you’re missing travel as much as this girl (as she points two thumbs at herself), the next best thing is to make your home smell like the destinations you crave. Homesick Candles offer the scents of all your favorite cities, states, countries and memories. Was your last vacation a trip to Nashville? The scents of old cedar planks, maple, whiskey and warm vanilla in a Nashville Homesick Candle will bring you right back to Music City. Or if you’d do anything to eat a croissants on the Champs Elysees in Paris right now, try a France Homesick Candle with scents of buttery croissants, café au lait, and touches of tobacco and lavender. The Road Trip Homesick Candle, with notes of fresh air, leather and lime, would make a great gift for those who may have hopped into an RV this year to explore. This wallet-friendly holiday gift idea is ideal for anyone missing travel, home or who just plain loves candles.
8. UGG Duffield Throw II
If you’ve ever wished your entire body could be wrapped in the coziness of your UGG boots, the Duffield Throw II is the answer. This throw is warm, soft and plush without appearing bulky. This cozy blanket will look pretty draped around your shoulders or over the couch. It’s simple with a velvety sheen on the edges and comes in a variety of soft colors. The Duffield Throw II from UGG is a cozy holiday gift idea to get anyone through a dreary winter.
9. Outdoor Fire Pit
There is something about a fire that brings calm to the end of the day. Maybe it’s the warmth, maybe it’s the hypothesis that comes with staring into the flames or maybe it’s the sound of the crackle. It’s likely all of those things that make sitting around a fire so serene. For those who aren’t lucky enough to have a fireplace or custom-built fire pit, how about gifting them a portable fire pit. This outdoor, wood burning, portable fire pit, allows you to see the entire flame inside the round, mesh fire bowl. The matching mesh lid helps to prevent embers from blowing. The metal fire pit makes it easy to move in your backyard, patio or bring along on a camping trip. The best part is it’s easy to assemble.

10. Love Your Melon Hat
The Love Your Melon hats will fill you with warmth all over whether you buy one for a gift or for yourself. They keep your head warm, look fantastic AND help to fight pediatric cancer. Fifty percent of net profits from all purchases go to nonprofit organizations around the world that are fighting against pediatric cancer. I’ve worn my Love Your Melon beanie for several years now and love the look and how warm it keeps me. A bonus is that it’s PERFECT to hide a bad hair day (or for when you haven’t gotten off the couch all day to brush your hair and you have to answer the door for your food delivery). The Love Your Melon brand also offers shawls, blankets, headbands and now face masks, too!
11. Nox and Luna Book Apparel
Karissa at Nox and Luna created an apparel line around books, or should I say mostly around her favorite books — the Harry Potter series! Nox and Luna offers T-shirts, jewelry, sweaters, hats, bags and more all around the theme of books and reading. My favorites are the Book Babe baseball hat (perfect for a good beach read!), and the Bookish T-shirt, which defines what it means to be “bookish” — fond of books and reading, of course!

12. Peg and Awl Jewelry
The jewelry (along with the bags, furniture and home decor) at Peg and Awl is beautifully handcrafted. They turn old treasures into new keepsakes. I love their wide selection of rings, but the earrings and necklaces are just as cool. The rings that feature a small brass frame and delicate design are pretty and understated. And the “Take Your Time Loving Me” poesy ring is so pretty with a beautiful engraved message. Peg and Awl offer fantastic gift ideas so be sure to give their shop a browse.

13. Portable Power Bank Charger
Having a portable power bank charger tucked away in a purse, backpack or car gives the added security of knowing you’ll always have a charge and never have a dead phone. The Jackery portable chargers as well as the Anker slim power banks are two of my favorites. Both offer a sleek design and reasonable cost at under $25. The Jackery portable charger, ideal for iPhone users, features a built-in lightning cable, a built-in Micro USH cable, an open USB output and a built-in flashlight. The Anker power bank is more universal since it is compatible with all device brands. Both brands give your devices a boost, and make a good holiday gift idea for the person who is always looking for a charge.

14. Kindle Fire Tablet
The Kindle Fire tablet is one of the best gift ideas for the reader in the family or for someone who may be on-the-go traveling or commuting to work. It is a basic tablet, and does not compare to something more powerful like an iPad. But for the price, it packs a big punch when it comes to the basics. The Kindle Fire tablet is more versatile compared to the regular Kindle since it does more than only house digital books. On the Kindle Fire you can load it with books to read while cuddling up next to a crackling fire, and also download a few episodes of your favorite Amazon Prime series before a holiday road trip. You can store photos on it and also access apps. The Kindle Fire kids edition is just as awesome too with similar features, and it’s nearly indestructible.
15. Beats Solo3 Wireless Over-Ear Headphones
I purchased the Beats Solo3 Wireless Over-Ear Headphones to block out noise on airplanes. They are the absolute best headphones to wear on a plane. Background noise is blocked out and the perfectly crisp and clear sounds of your music, podcast or audiobook is all that you hear. However, these headphones are also great for home when you need a little quiet to work.
The Beats Over-Ear Headphones are a perfect holiday gift idea for remote learning and remote work. They can help with distractions by easily blocking out the sounds (ie your kids, the trash truck, your husband’s constant Zoom work calls) that may surround your home office or home school. These headphones also just make music sound better. I will sometimes have an at-home dance party with my headphones on, rather than use a bluetooth speaker. The sound quality is so much better. Beats Headphones are an investment but the quality that comes with this purchase will definitely last several years.
