Pura Vida.
The people of Costa Rica take a simple and pure look at life. The country, its people, its animals and its entire biodiverse land gives off this — life is beautiful vibe, no stress, stop and watch the slow moving sloth — way of being. It’s the Pure Life. It’s Pura Vida.
Going into my travels to Costa Rica, I had heard the term and thought that’s a cool motto. But upon arrival in Costa Rica, you quickly realize its more than a motto. It’s Pura Vida.
Many Americans live by the saying “time is money” but the Costa Rican people believe “time is life.”
Time is literally life, but have you ever thought about it that way?
To live your life in the present and not think about what could have been in the past or what could be in the future — that is Pura Vida.
We all need to stop thinking about time as a concrete thing.
There is never enough time.
Timing is never right.
I don’t have time for that.
Time is LIFE.
Be present and live for right now. If right now means you get to travel the world or right now means you get to work hard at your desk in order to save money, be present in what you’re doing right now. Live life for right now.
Pura Vida.
